The dial is made with a gold base and features a blue background of engine-turned waves that represent the ocean. The continents are outlined with a metallic turquoise border, and a sapphire plate with metalized meridians covers the continents. The Roman numerals on the dial are treated with luminescent material, and the blue chapter ring with nautical pennants and dots also features luminescent elements. The watch has a pleasing symmetry, with a rectangular date window at noon and a larger arched city window at 6 o’clock. At 4 o'clock, there is a day/night indicator with a rose gold sun and rhodium-plated moon.
